# What are Followers?

Followers are people who are not yet paying for your content but want to stay up to date with what you do. They don't have access to your feed and can't talk to you via the chat but they get an update every time you post something to your feed to invite them to become a Member!

You can send them Messages in the chat or Blast your followers if you have an update you want to share with them! Learn more about our messaging feature [here](https://intercom.help/club/en/articles/6707701-how-does-the-messaging-feature-work).
